Book Review

Hi guys! This week I am reviewing 3 books. I’m a huge reader, so I will be posting these a lot.

“Amy Carmichael of Dohnavur” by Frank L. Houghton.

This book was given to me by a person I very highly respect and is very encouraging in my life, especially in the part where I am trying to teach Sunday school, since right now I am not old enough to teach, I am just helping. Thank you Mrs. Jean.
Anyway. So this book is about Amy Carmichael. It’s a really in depth biography about her and I enjoy it. It’s not a quick read, or entertainment but I’ve really come to enjoy it. I like all the little spiritual insights Amy gives. I’ve learned a few epic things (Side note. I NEVER use the word epic. Never. Only when something is actually epic. Guys, believe me, I mean it.) Basically I recommend it to you if you have time on your hands. This IS a biography, so the whole book is about Amy’s life.

“Model’s Don’t Eat Chocolate Cookies” by Erin Dionne.

This IS an entertainment. I really liked this books because it shows you can do things!! Although I wouldn’t buy this book, I WOULD get it from the library and at least read it (If I was you, because I already have.) This book is about a girl who is over weight and she is entered into a modeling contest for a curvy girl cloths magazine. This is the push to her limit and she is horrified at the thought. So she makes a goal to change. By the date of the contest. Well she tries, and her family notices and they think “…” I’m not going to tell you. Go get it from the library. 🙂

“Out of My Mind” by Sharon M. Draper.

This book is about a girl who is physically disabled. She is very smart, but cannot speak, or control her body, so her family does not know that she is very much aware of everything around her. Well it is written from the point of view of this girl, and it’s very interesting. It has opened my eyes so much more, to the attitude we should have toward the physically and mentally disabled people in the world.
This is not a pity book. It has a lot of the girl’s attitude written down. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I would buy it actually. So go order it from your library. It’s pretty cool. 🙂

This week’s post is very short, but I’ve been really busy, so I did what I could. Thanks for reading guys! And go get those books!!!
