And today we get to see Libby in her natural habitat.
I am not planning anything for this week and I don’t have anything particular to talk about in this post, so there. And yes, I apologize for it being so late in the day, but I wasn’t but actually planning to post anything this week, so I’m slightly happy with my self.
Let’s start with announcments. What’s to announce? Nothing big. Just that I wrote the last sentence to my book Dewdrops and Butterflies and will begin the first round of edits in August.
YOU READ THAT RIGHT! I FINISHED MY BOOK!
Now I’m like half extatic and half terrified to go back to the beginning and start editing. But praise God I’ve gotten this far!
Remind me, y’all, to tell you how I got to this idea for my book in the first place. I need to write a post about that.
Anyway, so yes, that is 100% chocolate and confetti worthy. *hands out cookies and sparklers to everyone* (and I feel generous, double stuffed Oreos too) Woohoo!
Also, I attended the last Descipleship class this summer that I’m going to be able to make it to. My youth pastor had a discipleship class every summer and I got to go for the first time this year. It’s been really good and I’ve enjoyed it, but there is one more next week and I am going to be in Oregon… soo. But it was so good and I’m very glad I got to attend.
I got to give away as a gift one of my favorite books in the world, The Pursuit of God by A. W. Tozer, to a friend and I always love giving that book away because I know what an impact it had on my life. It’s amazing and I am actually now having thoughts to give it away on here. *dissappears for a minute into her thoughts*
Oh, hi! You’re still here. XD
This week I got a signed copy of my new friend Kate Willis’ book “Kiera” and I’m super super happy with it and I tried to write a review of it but there were too many thought running through my head so all I could do was babble how good it was. Basically, you should get it. Like now.
And what else. I kind of spent like 2 hours chatting and fangirling (like fanatics) with my other awesome new friend Penny Wood over a google document about Thunderbirds Are Go and I’m pretty sure we are both slightly mentally insane (no offence Penny) but we love it. And she’s the sweetest thing reading and commenting on my fanfictions she honestly makes my day.
And I’m selfish and I don’t want to share her, so I’m not going to link to her blog today. I will next week though, because next week is a tag, and I tagged her 😀
Shout out to Rosalyn and Mariah and Marissa (miss you!) and also to Gray (always praying for you) and to Anna Willis because she’s just awesome and to Kate because she’s awesome too.
And for the rest of you readers. Thank you for reading! Comment below so I know you’re still here! Let’s get to know each other!
Talk later! ~Libby
Hey, Libby! I’ve still been here, just been to lazy and busy enjoying summer and nothing really going on, to comment. Your book sounds awesome! I can imagine how exciting it would be to finish a book, I’ve started a bunch of books, never finished any yet. But have finished a few short stories and that was exciting. Thanks for all the encouraging posts.
Hi Marissa! Glad you still read them! Aww, you’re too sweet. I’m glad that my posts encourage you. Hopefully I’ll be writing more “encouragement” type posts coming up.
Yeah! Totally enjoying summer! It only comes once a year. XD
First of all, awesome sauce on finishing your book! That is an incredible achievement!!
(WHAT?? Double stuff oreos??? Finally, Libby is growing up XD)
Second of all, aww, you’re so sweet to say those things about me! I had a great time! Yes, I think we might be a tiny bit insane, but that’s okay. XD
And thx for tagging me! I can’t wait to see the post! 😀
*coughs* don’t count on me continuing that Penny, doubles stuffed have *cough* empty calories *falls over laughing at the reference*
We HAVE to do that again! I had suuuuchhhh a great time! Yeah… but you know, insaneness is awesome!
Fun post! Your natural habitat sounds really fun. 😉 Also, that Thunderbirds Are Go celebration sounds fantastic. We should do a blog tag for it or something… 😉
Also, CONGRATS ON YOUR BOOK!!! 😀 😀
Yes it’s quite fun. XD
A Thunderbirds Are Go tag!? That sounds insanely fun! *head gears spinning* I’m going to do it. I’m going to create a blog tag for the blog world. Hang onto your seat belts folks.
THANK YOU!!!
CONGRATS ON FINISHING YOUR BOOK!!!!! I’m so excited for you, Libby!
And thank you so much for the prayers, it means a lot. <3
