Today’s review is on a book called “Before You Meet Prince Charming.”
Girls. We are called to SO MUCH MORE than dreaming of our future, dwelling on Mr. Right, and hoping he will ask you to the dance/date/party/game/etc.
We are first and foremost The Bride of Christ. He loves us girls. Yes. Look at Him as the One who will hold your hand. The One who smiles that one way that makes your heart flutter.
The One who professed His love to you. Determined loyalty. The One who will seek you out in the crowd. The One who wants to talk to you late into the night about whatever is on your heart.
Girls, once you fall in Love with Jesus, you will be more satisfied, more loved, more happy, more “smiley” than you have ever been before.
You CAN fall in love with Him. You may not have His face playing in your mind for hours every day, but read His story. Start in Matthew. Sit down and smile. “Hello, I want to fall in love with You again. I’m gonna start with your childhood. Jesus, please tell me your story. I want to know EVERYTHING about you.”
Spend some time reading His story, imagining how it was, imagine how Him as a little baby boy born. Imagine Him as the little two year old toddler fleeing in the night from an angry king. Imagine Him as the young boy in the temple, left there for three days, and yet unshaken, and wholly trusting God.
Take is as a challenge. The Fall in Love Challenge.
And now onto the review. We girls are built to have feeling toward other certain people. We were created to be moms, to have children to raise, homes to take care of, husbands to love us, and futures bright and full of hope. It’s true! Wanting that is not wrong! Obsessing about it and taking it into your own hands is another thing. We need to trust the our first Love has everything in the perfect plan. We need to walk the talk. If we trust that Jesus has everything perfect, we need to leave it in His hands. Know that “You are not big enough to ruin God’s plan.” When you are in tuned with His will and His plan, He will guide you to make the right choices for your future.
This book is a guide to reacting to the feelings, the temptations and the normal everyday life of a girl. It’s one of those things that you will never regret reading, and something you won’t know how you lived without it before.
This books has no age limit. Girls from 6 – 132 can read it. It’ll bless you and help you live a fuller life as a single young person.
