Hi! I’m getting really boring with my greetings.
Anyway. So today I decided to have some fun. I’m just going to literally have a conversation with B.R.B. And we’re just gonna learn things about each other and you can read about it as we do. 😀
Let me introduce B.R.B. I first created her as a mini-me. But she really advanced from there. Now, she reminds me of one of my friends, and yet she’s got this super immature streak about her (that my friend doesn’t have) and sometimes she’s so much like me we butt heads and don’t get along as best as author/charie normally do. At least in my case.
Anyway. Enjoy our little chat. 😀
Libby: “Hiya B.R. Whatcha doin?”
B.R.B.: “Not much. Just trying to finish school for today. What’s up?”
Libby plopped into a chair by B.R.B.’s desk, “Well, it’s technically your birthday this Saturday and you know how I’m doing this blog birthday bash?”
B.R.B. nodded.
“Well I just thought maybe it would be a good idea just to maybe help people understand who exactly we are.”
B.R.B. set down her pencil and sat back, “Ok, how do you wanna do that?”
“Let’s just talk.”
She frowned, “But… talking can be boring.”
Libby stood up, “Ok then. Let’s go take a walk. I need PE anyway and I haven’t been around the property much.”
So they did. Libby sent a text to Steve letting him know that she gave B.R.B. the day off and they walked out into the middle of their field.
“You start. Ask me any question you want.”
B.R.B.’s eyes went wide. “Any question at all? Like why I am the way I am, or why you created me, or what happened to my dad?”
Libby bit her lip but nodded. “Yeah, I guess. I mean it’s not everyday that we get to hang out.”
B.R.B. smiled and closed her eyes. “Alright. My first question is why did you give me Joseph as a friend?”
Libby grinned, “Joseph is framed after one of my best friends at the time, and one of our neighbor boys where I lived. The original Joseph is a year older than me, and he is really good at ultimate frisbee. Our neighbor, his name was Riley, was this cute kid that walked around with a tea mug and had a depth to him well still being only 13 and acting 13.
“I guess that Joseph’s personality is based off of Riley, and his abilities based off my friend. I knew you needed someone awesome like that.”
B.R.B. laughed and nodded, “He’s one of my best friends. Ok. Now your turn to ask me a question.”
“How do you feel about the fact that you live with your aunt, uncle, and cousins rather then having a normal family?”
“It’s hard sometimes, but I think since I don’t go to school it’s just normal for me. I mean besides youth group and outings, there’s not really a lot of people that can bother me about it.”
“Do you wish I had framed your life and past more off of mine then creating a completely Fiction background for you?”
“I can’t say I know what I wish you would have done differently. For me this is reality and honestly I can’t really imagine it very differently. In a way I think it’s ridiculous that you can make anything and everything happen to me, but on the other end, I don’t know any other way of life. This is just reality for me.”
Libby smiled and laughed a little. “I can’t imagine how weird it would be to have a random person controlling your future.”
“Well, you gotta admit that trusting God with your life is almost similar.”
“That is true. But I would 100% trust God with my life more than I would trust me with it.”
“Thanks,” B.R.B. says sarcastically, rolling her eyes.
Libby tied off the end of the wildflower crown she had woven and placed it on B.R.B.’s head. “Ok, now your turn for another question.”
“What inspired you to create me in the first place? And do you have any wild stuff planned in my future?”
Libby’s grinned with mischief and stood up from where they had sat in the grass, “You weren’t gonna be you in the beginning. Originally when I wanted to create this kind of blog, with random posts and no particular theme, I was going to name it MeAsLibby.com and not have any sort of character at all. But that fell through, and a couple of years later when I decided to go forward with starting another blog, I thought it would be a lot of fun to share it with someone.”
“Too bad you created me so much like yourself.”
“But because you are so much like me I’m able to understand why you do the things you do. If you had been a shy introvert I would have gone crazy trying to work with you.”
B.R.B. chuckled and ran up ahead of Libby, tagging the fence on the outer edge of the field before she could. “I win.”
“I didn’t know we were racing!” Libby said, but tagged the fence anyway, then climbed up onto it and straddled it like a horse.
“Are you going to tell me if I’ve got anything scary or exciting in my future?”
“I can’t very well tell you that Bethany!” Libby exclaimed, “There would be no fun in it then!” But the look on her face told B.R.B. that there was something up Libby’s sleeve, and, despite her worry, B.R.B. was excited.
“You know? We might not always get along, but I wouldn’t want anyone else to shape me and my future beside you.” She joined Libby on the fence and wrapped her in a hug. “I love you Libby.”
Libby’s heart smiled and she hugged B.R.B. tightly, “I love you too.”
😀 So what did you guys think? That trip was so much fun and I am excited at the possibility to take B.R.B. maybe on the BTT to my unfinished book Dewdrops and Butterflies. I’m excited to meet Rose and then have her meet B.R.B. Guys I’m so excited now!!
K, so today’s word is on my own post. 😀 A review I did for the book Before you Meet Prince Charming. I know it’s a rather controversial topic, but my review is my personal opinion, so please be courteous if you are going to comment about it. 😀 Go find the word!
Tomorrow is our very last post for this blog birthday series and I’m going to be announcing the last word for the sentence that gives you a chance to win free a free book. If you are reading this post and have no idea what the scavenger hunt is, you can go here and read all about it. If you still have questions, feel free to comment and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
~B.R.B. and Libby
