BLOG BIRTHDAY INTRO!

Guysssss!!! On Saturday, March 24th, GeoTurtle.com is officially a year old! Time for a BLOG PARTY!
For the next week, I am going to post daily *woopee!* about the normal stuff I do, and a little extra about my blog. But today, I’m going to introduce what this epic week is going to be all about. 😀

SCAVENGER HUNT!

Some of my super cool friends around the blogsphere have agreed to help me celebrate! Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday one of them will post about their everyday lives, or whatever their blogs normally post about. In their post, they will have one BOLD word. Collect these bold words in the order you find them (one per day) and on Saturday I will have the last BOLD word, giving you a complete sentence. Then, you can contact me by clicking on the little button up above this post that says “Contact Me” and send me the full sentence. You will be entered into a raffle to win one of THREE prizes!

THE PRIZES!

1st Place: His Princess: Love letters from your King by Sherie Rose Shepherd. Printed hardcover.

“This beautiful four-color book opens the eyes of women to see themselves the way God sees them. Many don’t even know that they are daughters of the King – chosen to be His Princess. Somewhere between childhood and adulthood, they trade in their fairy-tale dreams of being cherished for a tarnished identity fashioned by their own insecurities and the mixed-up messages of the media. Now, these tenderly adoring letters written from God’s perspective demonstrate that every woman is beautiful just the way she is. Walking in confidence toward her God-given purpose, every woman can bless others – even future generations.

It’s hard to look at our lives and think of ourselves as royalty. But the truth is, God is our King and we are chosen by Him. As your soul soaks in these love letters from your King, be affirmed of who you are, why you are here, and how much you are loved.”

I haven’t totally finished this little book yet, but it’s very encouraging and uplifting, and I plan to finish it before the end of this week. 😀 (sorry, this prize is only eligible for those in the continental U.S. due to shipping costs)

2nd PlaceThe Missing Piece by Libby May, eBook.

“K.C. was the girl of the summer in her youth group. She had a lake for her backyard, friends who loved to hang out, and a boyfriend who honestly loved her.
But she wasn’t happy. Deep inside she longed for something more. Her relationship with her Savior seemed empty and she did everything in her power to gain His favor, but to no avail. There never was any sort of confirmation.
Will K.C. ever find the piece that’s missing in her heart? Or will she drain herself of meaning and forever wallow in this lake we call despair?”

*cringes* *giggles* *dances in circles* This is a little short story I wrote last year that got published in a magazine. Slightly expanded, with an author’s note *cough* at the end, this one is a bit longer then the magazine version. The cover is still under scrutiny but I’m working on it. Thank you to Kellyn Roth, Gray Marie, and Darcy for Beta reading this one for me. 😀

3rd Place: POST CARD! I don’t know if y’all like postcards the way I do, but guys, postcards make my day. 😀 Rina sends them to me sometimes and AHH! It’s so much fun. So in third place I’ll send you a postcard from my home town. 😀

THE REST OF THE WEEK!

Y’all I’m so excited for this! I hope you enjoy this next week and participate in this awesome hunt!

Look for your first BOLD word in my very first post by clicking on the link. 😀

If you’re new to my blog, you will find a subscription forum on the sidebar. By submitting your email you will automatically receive new posts from me! I never spam and never sell emails, so don’t worry about that. I hope you enjoy my blog birthday bash!

~B.R.B. and Libby.

NOTE: you must have the complete sentence at the end of the week in order to qualify for the raffle. Bold words are found in linked posts.
