Good morning girls! Today is the start of my Book Birthday Giveaway! It’ll be today through Friday, which is my actual book birthday! Who’s excited? Just me? Okay. XD
GIVEAWAY CLOSED 10. 17. 20
How many of you werea round for the week long blog tour last year? I had such a blast reading all the guest posts and book reviews. I still can’t believe I”m a published author, now a full year later.
But I’m so glad, and so happy. I’ve been able to give away so many copies to girls I know will enjoy the story! It’s so inspiring to see their eyes light up when they see the thick paper copy and realize that I, their friend, had written that.
The heart behind this book was always to give it away. I don’t know why. If you have a copy you’ll see that it was dedicated to one girl. The one girl that God kept pushing me to write for. Maybe that one girl is you, maybe that one girl doesn’t have her copy yet. Maybe she’s your friend or sister or cousin, or just a girl you know from church.
That’s why this giveaway is special. I’m not giving away just ONE book, but TWO. Just like I was overly extravagant on the blog tour giveaway with five paperback winners, I’m giving away TWO paperback copies of my book this year too!
What do I win?
By entering this book birthday giveaway, you become elidgable to win one of the two paper copies of Dewdrops and Butterflies. This is a signed copy, and includes two character bookmarks and a butterfly sticker sheet.
The second copy, also won by you, will be sent to anybody in the continental US that you nominate. It could literally be anybody. They will also receive a signed paper copy (either noting you as the gifter or not, depending on your preference,) a bookmark and a sticker sheet!
What is Dewdrops and Butterflies?
Dewdrops and Butterflies is a book I wrote over the course of two years about a young girl who grew up in an abusive home and was placed in a foster home. She ends up running from her foster family and lives in a forest for the course of a summer, learning that she can’t make it on her own, and really, she doesn’t want to. She is loved, and she just has to accept it.
“I smiled and acted like I was supposed to be there. It was amazing how much people assumed by a simple glance. An outfit, an expression, a tone of voice. Anyone could pretend to be anything. Today, I was a rich girl.”
Thirteen-year-old Rose Wells is determined to make it on her own. Running from authority one last time, the forest has become her home and the cafe her source of food. Fear driven determination will keep her here as long as she can help it.
But not everybody is okay with that. Alex and Jenni Johnson will do whatever they can to find their foster daughter and bring her home, longing to give her the genuine love she’s never known.
Over the course of a single summer, hearts are broken, scars exposed, friendships blossom, and ultimately a greater truth is learned.
A greater God is understood.
How do I win?
This is mostly a social media based giveaway, but I had to make sure you girls had a chance to enter too. Here are the rules:
ENTER TO WIN
- Follow me on my blog Geoturtle.com, Instagram @elizabethmay117 and Pinterest @Geoturtle (one entry each) (please give me a fair chance and don’t unfollow right away!)
- Repost the giveaway image to any form of social media and link back to my blog/Instagram (one entry per repost per day)
- Comment below and let me know who you would send the second copy to! (one entry)
- Tell your friends about the giveaway! If they put you in their comment as the person who referred them, you each get two entries!
Happy Book Birthday to me! I’m really excited to give these books away! I understand that not everybody has a social media, so blogs count too! This is a raffled giveaway, so everybody has a chance. I’ll be back Friday to announce the winners both here and on Instagram. Thank you to those who have been here from the beginning, and to those who just started!

I would give the second book to a friend from church, or to a family member, but I’m not sure who yet(if I were to win, would it be possible to send both of the books to me, so I could give them directly to a friend without giving out their address?)
