Good Morning Treasures. I hope you’re having a blessed Sunday. I just wanted to hop on and share a couple of thoughts.
I want to go Home. So badly. My heart longs to be with my savior. To be free from the chaos and sorrow that tears across our world today. Sometimes I wonder if I can take any more, if our world can handle anymore before everything goes to pieces.
It already has gone to pieces.
But you know what I remember? Politicians are not in control. False media is not in control. Panicked people are not in control. Protesters are not in control. Police are not in control, be they good or bad. And ultimatly, Satan is not in control.
OUR GOD HAS THE ULTIMATE SAY.
Our God knows exactly what’s going on, and why. He knows how long it’s going to last, what it’s going to cost, when it’s going to end and where we will all be when we get there.
This leads me to wonder My God, why don’t You end it all now? Why can’t You just take us home now? Why do we have to stay here in this mess when we’ve already come to know you? Your bride is tired Jesus, take us home.
And then I go out in the world and I see the people. Really see them. The men and women around me who want to be good, who work hard, take care of their families, genuinely care about others, and are just trying to get along in life. They don’t know Him yet.
That’s why we’re still here. We’re waiting for them. For S and D and Z and C and P. For the people in our lives who are still searching for purpose.
Treasures, remember. God is not sitting back and waiting until we just can’t take it anymore. He’s not testing to see how far this world can go.
OUR GOD IS ACTIVELY PURSUING THE LOST.
And so should we. Lay your burdens and worries at the cross where our God is big enough to handle them, and cultivate genuine, honest relationships with the people around you. Be a servant. Show Christ. Be a little Christ. Let them call you Christian.
Ladies, God is so amazing, and so big. If you take a minute and go outside and look at the sky, He is REALLY out there.
“Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10
I cannot wait for the glorious day when every knee shall bow and every tongue confess, and I will get to stand next to the Lover of my life. But until then I am willing, by the power of God, and through Christ who gives me strength, to stay here and be a little Christ. Be the salt and the light and be apart of the way God pursues those He loves and is calling gently every day. And when the last heart surrenders, then. Then I will be ready to go home.
Dear God, strengthen us all anew with your Holy Spirit to continue to go through this torn world. Help us to be servants and instruments in your constant pursuit of the hurting world. Help us to remember to pray for those around us, and open our eyes to see the opportunities to be like you.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
