Hello friends and readers!
First off, I was absolutely so pleasantly surprised when I checked my feed burner account last week. I have 12 email subscribers! That’s amazing! Thank you guys for taking time out of your days to read the randoms stuff I put up on here. ๐ It makes my day when I get new subscribers.
First, I want to send a shout out to Mariah, who was my first-ish email subscriber. She’s visiting the US right now, so she hasn’t been able to use the computer too much. Miss you Mariah!
Also shout out to Lydia Williams. Love you girl.
Shout out to Gray Marie for always reading and commenting on my stuff. Shout out to Marissa. Shout out to Rosalyn Rooney who just recently started following my blog. ๐ Shout out to Victoria, Diana, Gracie Chick (I read your story by the way. It’s pretty cool!), and Lexi Cowgirl!
Now on to the post. So it’s been way to long since I (B.R.B.) have had run of this place. I’m sorry, I’ve missed you guys. To make up for it, here’s a little diary entry I wrote last week about the summer that just burst upon us.
“Dear Diary, it’s been too long. Sorry I haven’t been keeping up lately. Life has been crazy. I recently started going to the Discipleship weekly Bible study that Pastor Josiah is doing. It took a bit of prayer to commit, but I believe God guided me there.
It’s been a lot of fun. For the first hour we do a Bible study, discussion groups and exchanged prayer requests (girls and boys are in different groups). It’s really great because we all get a chance to pray for each other. We also get to share some of the things that we’ve been struggling with and pray for each other throughout the week. The second hour we go outside and run ourselves ragged, playing ultimate frisbee on the church’s front lawn. It’s insane how much we run and laugh and get so tired. By then end of that hour more then half of us are on the floor gasping, between goals.
I’m really happy that my allergies are gone. They were so bad this year. Horrible. I could hardly breath and my eyes were constantly itching. Mom found a combination of essential oils that help calm your body down and reduce the reaction to the pollen, so they helped a bit, but then turns out I’m sensitive to one of the oils. My legs cramp up really bad! So I had to stop taking them, but by the time we figured out what was causing it, I already was pretty much over the whole pollen thing.
I’m so happy that summer is here, but I can’t believe it’s here. We’re so booked up this year. Last month (June) was thoroughly polluted with birthdays and I found out shortly before the beginning of that month that Ethan and Tanya are expecting! I AM SO EXCITED! (They got married July 6th of last year. I’m not sure if I already told you that.) Now it’s just a matter of whether they are having a boy or a girl! And this month we already had a road trip to Vancouver, WA for a friend’s wedding. Next weekend we are going to Boise, ID for Steve’s job. I haven’t been there before, so I’m excited.
Alright, I got to go help make dinner now. Talk later.
~B.R.B”
That was that.
This month I also got my reading pile, so I’ve been gobbling up a monstrous amount of books. I’m loving it. Cleaning up my goodreads To-Be-Read shelf and enjoying an amazing pile of books.
Camp Nano in July is coming up way to fast and I’m aiming for the sky, with a word goal of 80,000. Technically it’s not that huge, only about 15,000 words, since I’ve already got 65,000 done. I’m going to fight my way to the finish line, completing myย Dewdrops and Butterflies masterpiece that I started in September of last year. I’m insanely excited and hardly able to contain myself, well at the same time hiding behind the curtain because I’m scared to dive back in and actually finish.
Here is a little bit of embarrassment for me. I drew this last night. I’ve been experimenting with drawing the Tracy boys for the last couple weeks. So far, this is the only one that actually resembled the actual thing. Say hello to Virgil Grissom Tracy:
I’m actually really happy with it and super proud of my shading skills and yes *hides* I did post it on pinterest. Why not? I would totally have pinned it if I found it on there. XD
So that’s all folks.
Oh wait! Also, I went Ice Skating at an indoor rink in Portland, Oregon Mall for the first time ever! It wasn’t too hard or too cold. I’ve played broom ball on an ice rink before so I was used to the cold, and I use in-line roller skates all the time. It was just a bit of adjustment. I was able to go fairly well after the first 10 minutes, and I had to keep reminding myself not to get cocky or I’d splat on my face. I didn’t and I didn’t. XD
One of my favorite lines for “Planes: Fire and Rescue” is when Blade tells Dusty, “Overconfidence, the kind of attitude that can get you killed.” I quote it all the time.
Soย that’sย all now. If you want to see what books I’ve been reading and my reviews, follow me on goodreads here. ๐
Thank you guys so much for reading! I appreciate your time so much. ๐
~Libby and B.R.B.
LIBBY! Do you live Canada like me??? I might visit Vancouver later this year :DD Aww congrats!!
No, I don’t live in Canada. WA/ID border. XD
Thank you!
Awww, congrats on the subscribers! Your blog is so amazing, I hope you get many more. <3
I don't write a diary anymore, but I found one I wrote in when I was thirteen and read it out loud to my mom, and it was pretty funny. I was (and still am) a huge drama queen, so every entry I wrote sounded like the world was ending. XD
THAT PICTURE IS SO GOOD!!! I'm going to go try to find it on pinterest! ๐
Thanks!
Lol, omg you should hear about my diary when I was 11. I was so depressed because I thought the world was LITERALLY going to end. I was upset I wouldn’t ever grow up. XD
Thank you!!! I’m so proud of it!
You will probably have the most luck finding it by going through the Pinterest widget on the sidebar. Or by going through the geoturtle account on Pinterest. XD. The pins I create don’t get SUPER popular.
Libby, congratulations on the subscribers! Iโm sure every single one means so much. Just imagine when youโre going to have 100( I know you will sometime) and youโll look back to these days when you had 12, remembering just how much these meant! I canโt wait to see more and more people check out your blog and watch it flourish and grow.
Yay! I finally got to check out all the new posts! Such a treat!
Sending hugs…
Thank you Mariah! I’ve missed you! Yeah… We’ll see what God does, maybe I will. ๐ I’m super excited to see where it goes.
Sending tighter hugs!
