Unfortunately I was slightly disappointed in this one…

CIA analyst Brynn Taylor developed a new program to combat terrorism, and she invited members of foreign intelligence agencies to America to foster cooperation between countries. Now one of them, Egyptian spy Remon Riad, is missing.
Jack Hudson has been working for the Strategic Neutralization and Protection Agency (SNAP) for almost nine years and takes the lead in hunting down the missing spy. But he isn’t at all pleased to find out Brynn is involved. It’s hard to trust a woman who’s already betrayed you.
Every lead they follow draws them dangerously deeper into an international plot. Kidnapping, murder, explosions, poisoning–the terrorists will do anything to accomplish their goal of causing a digital blackout that will blind a strategic US military communications center and throw the world into chaos.
CHARACTERS:
The characters were blaaaaaaaaaand. Jack had NOTHING interesting about him. At all. He was as cliche as suspense boyfriends come except it felt like they didn’t even bother adding the cliche details. It was more like “you know what these types are like. The end.”
Brynn was slightly more interesting, but she felt like the shallow part of Natalie’s three previous female MCs.
The president was a female which… was honestly disappointing. I’m not against gender equality, but I believe the Bible calls men to be the leaders in the home, in the church, and in the country.
Kekoa was the only character that stood out, and he was a SIDE CHARACTER. * yells in frustration *
Just remember the four Hs. Hunky, Hilarious, Hacker Hawaiian.
THE PLOT:
The plot was basically the saving grace of this book. It was complex and dynamic, and it kept you asking questions. I liked the way it tied in so many complicated parts. The ending, however, was almost too simple for me. Because the problem got so complex, the solution had to be pretty point blank easy. And it was. I got kinda bored finishing it.
THE CONTENT:
There’s not much content to speak of. No sensual/sexual content. There were a few kisses but very simple and non-elaborated. And it was towards the very end.
There was some violence and a couple graphic scenes, but it didn’t bother me. If you read suspense normally, this won’t be anything more than you can handle.
IN SUMMARY:

I’m so SAAAAD. I had such high expectations for this book because I LOVED Natalie’s Harbor Secrets trilogy! But this one was just a flop for me.
Thanks to Revell and the author for a free copy of this book. A positive review was not required and all opinions were my own.
