Prologue: Guys, I don’t know if you know but there is a subscribe box on the side, if you want to subscribe to my blog. Just wanted to make sure you are all aware of that. Browse through the sidebar when you have time. There is some pretty fun stuff on there.
Ok, Ok. I know I said I don’t write poetry, and honestly! I don’t! I write like one poem every 6 months. This is just a new blog so I am posting them all at one time. This should be the last poem for like the next 6 or so months. Don’t quote me on that. Anyway, here it is.
God made us for Joy,
But we brought him sorrow
With all of our faults,
Today’s and tomorrow’s.
We drown in this death,
This ocean of sin.
With no one to help us
We’re hopeless to win.
But then God stepped in
Our Father Who made us,
And gave us His Son,
His only boy Jesus.
A great life He lived,
Without blemish or spot.
The died on the cross
And victory He got.
In three days He rose
From earth’s bondage free.
If you just ask Jesus,
Like Him free you’ll be.
He’ll free you from sin,
Temptations and Sorrows.
He’ll grow you today,
And guide you through tomorrow.
When He’s done we’re perfect
At last Joy we’ll bring.
We’ll all be together,
And to Him praise we’ll sing.

So that’s that. I just want to clear it up. The second to last verse says that He’ll free you from sin temptation and sorrow. He freed us from sin on The Cross, but temptations and sorrow, this is not on earth. He will free our minds and hearts from stress ad worry, but a part of living in this world of sin is going through temptation and sorrow. God is not a genie that will make your life perfect and give you whatever you want. He is not here for you, you are here for Him. He is willing to accept you through Jesus, and that brings joy beyond comprehension, and peace beyond understanding.
Is all for now. Thank’s for bearing with me through these long long posts. I promise I won’t post poetry for a while after this. XD
And if you are still reading this post (don’t you have something better to be going than reading my junk? XD LOL) Comment! I love reading your guys’ comments. It’s pretty cool to see that other people are reading what you write.
I like your (not) poetry. It’s quite good, I think! 🙂
Keep up the good work! 😀
Lol, thanks. Do you have a blog? I haven’t found one I thought is yours yet.
Nope. I don’t. Not yet anyway. 🙂
Good! That was really good! I love what you write about in your poems, BRB.
Oh, may I ask WHAT your profile picture is? I looked at it for a long time and couldn’t figure it out.
I’m so sorry Lexi. I have no idea what you’re talking about in regards to profile picture. It’s probably a brain fart, but if you could bring me up to date on that I would happily answer your question. Sorry about that!
Ummmmm….. The picture right by your comments. It’s square and little.
Oh!!! It’S actually a Betta fish. That’s my profile picture on everything. XD I guess it can be sort of hard to see what it is when it’s so small.
Yeah, it’s a Betta fish.
I thought it was some kind of sea critter. Cool! A Betta fish! Very cool.
The poetry that you don’t write is lovely! 🙂
I came across your blog in connection to my novel I THIRST. I’m glad you enjoyed it!! Incidentally, it has expanded into a trilogy. Rebecca’s adventures continue in THE ROSE AND THE SWORD, which was released last year.
God Bless!

OH MY GOODNESS. That’a amazing! I can’t believe you found my blog! Thanks so much for commenting! That means so much!
I’m super curious now! *goes and orders books from library* Thank you for letting me know!
My pleasure! 🙂 I like to thank readers when I have the opportunity. After all, you are the ones who took the time to read my book and show support. Whatever I do is minimal by comparison.
Awww that’s sweet! Thanks so much. In regards to additional published work, it’s just THE ROSE AND THE SWORD as of now. My schedule is a bit crazy at the moment, but I hope to finish the last book in THE VERITAS CHRONICLES sometime in the near future. 🙂 🙂 I’ve also considered the idea of writing a book just for the INTERMISSION cast, but that would be sometime down the road. After the trilogy, I plan to wrap up my short story collection (which includes a few tales from THE VERITAS CHRONICLES) and then move on to one of my fantasy novels.
You wrote the book before I could read it. I wouldn’t call that minimal! Lol
Awesome! That’s pretty cool! I know what you mean about crazy schedule. I am up to my neck in stuff this summer. XD Takes a lot of work to keep the blog up, all my other writing projects and the email series that I’m writing. Uh.
But it’s all for God, and He never gives me more then I can take. Thanks again for commenting!
Haha! Yes, that did take a bit of time. 🙂 🙂 Thank you.
Best of luck with all your work!!
Yes, indeed. 🙂
My pleasure! God Bless,
Gina
