I step outs into the cool night air.
Beautiful Silence.
The delicious darkness,
The bright sparkling stars.
The moonlights glows, reflecting off the smooth white blanket that covers everything.
I can see my breathe against the black ceiling.
A prayer.
A prayer for all the stars in my life, each bright, each special, each unique.
They light up my life.
My pastors; always helpful, always encouraging.
My buddies; always there to say hello.
My little Sunday school 3 and 4 year olds; grinning, chattering, laughing, playing.
My Role models; showing me that living an life all for JesusĀ is possible.
My mentors and teachers; ready to show me how it’s done. Always patient, always kind.
But most of all, tonight, when I see the moon reflecting the hidden sun to my face, I breathe a prayer of thanksgiving.
For my close friends and family.
Near or far, we all see the same moon.
So I pray “God bless them, protect them, guide them.
I thank you God, tonight, for my stars.”
This is beautiful, Libby. <3
Thank you Gray! I really enjoyed writing it.
